Re-vamping the old...

It's amazing what you can find when you do a little spring cleaning... This entire outfit was put together from pieces that I thought I lost but ended up in the back of the closet.

I hate those days when you stand and stare into your closet and feel like you have absolutely no clothes, when there is a closet full of clothes staring back at you. That was probably the reason I felt the need to search high and low, front and back in my closet to find pieces to re-vamp. When in doubt, use your old pieces in new ways. :)

My entire outfit was purchased at least 2 summers ago, so I'm not sure if I can find the pieces again. But everyone has a cute summer dress they can pair with a sweater! Who says we can't wear dresses in the winter?? xoxo

Channeling the Kennedy's

Hello my loves! Sorry I've gone MIA lately, but I'm back. I got suckered into starting the Grey's Anatomy series... No thanks to my friends and Netflix and I started last Sunday and am now on season 6! So... my time has been a little occupied but I am back. :)

I've been avoiding the rain but today, I thought I'd just throw in an umbrella and embrace my city! I am in love with this jacket I got from H&M and it reminds me so much of the Kennedy's style. Tweed jacket paired with flared jeans to keep it casual and sweet.

Cameron Diaz inspired.

If you're a football fanatic, then you already know today was a sad day for my Seahawks. We lost... but it was such a close game! With such a young team I'm proud we got where we got and it was fun while it lasted. Next year will be our year!

So naturally, after such a lost I decided an outfit post was appropriate. :) I saw this picture of Cameron Diaz in US weekly awhile ago and I loved how it look. Light pink pants topped off with a nude blazer, effortless and oh so stylish. Here's my recreation.

Shoe addict in the making..

Wow! Has January been a busy month or what? So many celebrations and birthdays! Happy birthday to all my January babies! :) 

I haven't had much luck with shoes off the site JustFab, but for some reason the last three pairs I've bought have been fantastic and completely true to the picture. Today's shoe of the day is "Hiral" in black. The gold details is what attracted me to it and man oh man are these shoes comfortable! I love a great pair of heels that I can wear all day and not have them killing my feet, so here is my out of the day!

It's been quite gloomy here in WA, and the rest of the week is looking to be the same. Usually when this happens, I stay away from all black outfits and throw in some color. Somehow that always makes me feel better.

Winter flare

I feel like with the new year, there should be some changes... Maybe not drastic ones quite yet but I woke up this morning thinking "I should cut my bangs." And... in a few minutes, I found myself with straight across bangs. I haven't had these since elementary school.. but I think they are growing on me.

Celebrating the new year! & my birthday

Happy new year my loves! Can you believe that 2012 just flew on by? And look at that! We all survived the end of the world! :) Now with that in mind, we should embrace this new year and make it the year we want it to be: chase all dreams, achieve great, take failure and just laugh in its face, love hard, forgive easy, and embrace each other. I am ready for you, 2013!

I've made my list of resolutions and am hoping to stick by them, but the one that is at the top of my list is to be fearless! There's nothing like setting a goal and watching yourself achieve it. So out with the old and in with the new!
